Tax season has its share of pressures and surprises, but nothing could’ve prepared accountant Scott Foster for what he encountered last week.
That’s when Foster was thrust into net for the Chicago Blackhawks. Yes, you read that right – an accountant by day became a professional hockey goaltender by night, and not just for an expansion team or anything, but for a historic franchise that has won three Stanley Cups since 2010.
Never mind that it took two players getting hurt and likely disturbed his pregame meal and routine … Foster just lived out the improbable dream many hockey fanatics aspire to as kids shooting slap shots in the driveway or snapping wrist shots in PeeWee hockey.
