Growing your firm and yourself in 15 minutes or less: Check your calendar, organize your day and pause your mail

This series includes tips from five of the most popular authors on Firm of the Future, with their advice on what you an accomplish in 15 minutes or less to improve your firm and yourself. Get another tip here.

Typically, I only have an open calendar for clients or potential clients to set their own meetings on my Calendly app on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I also have weekly standing meetings with my team and other meetings with clients that I personally schedule. Taking the time to go into my calendar and organize my day helps me plan my time. I will book things for me to do that are not meeting-related, but time-sensitive. It helps me stay organized and get things done. I have also been using the “pause” feature in Gmail to hold the emails, so I am not distracted during my workday. It keeps me more productive.
