Automation tips and tricks: Tasks done in 3 clicks or less
Welcome back to another article in an ongoing series about ways to save time in your practice. This tip comes from Mariette Martinez, EA.
When it comes to timesaving + automation, the first thing that comes to mind is “how can I achieve this in less than 3 clicks?” If a task takes me longer, then I see if I can create efficiency around it.
For example, when it comes to accessing my daily apps, I want to access them with one click. Google Bookmarks is a great option for that. Just create a folder > organize quick links below > DONE!
Another favorite daily hack is to get quick messages through Slack or Loom. If the message is for a team member, I send it through Slack. If it’s for a client, I send it through Loom. If the message is longer than 3 minutes, I also send it through Loom since there is no limit on Loom messages for the paid version. Loom free version does have a limit of 5 minutes per video. This saves me time from writing too much, and more importantly, it keeps me connected at a human level with my team and clients!
