Improved IIF list and transaction import

QuickBooks® list and transaction import with IIF (Intuit Interchange Format) has been around for many years, and has been an available format for payroll and other transaction import, both customer and third- party software generated. This import did not use the QuickBooks business logic to validate import, requiring user validation to some degree.

This changed with the Introduction of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 19.0. The same IIF formatted files now pass through comprehensive business logic validation, as would any manually entered lists and transactions. This helps preserve the integrity of your data, while saving you time by reducing manual verification.

Only validated data is imported, and transactions or list elements that failed validation are reported with highlighted reasons that can be viewed using Microsoft Excel. This allows you to easily identify, fix, and reimport records with reliability and confidence.

Since the launch of the new IIF functionality, we have continued to improve the ability to successfully import the variety of IIF files that are currently being used – improvements that are reflected in recent updates to QuickBooks Desktop.

As an added bonus, using the new IIF import functionality, you can import in multi-user mode. No more need for other users to log out while importing lists and data.

Make sure to update to the latest release version, and rest assured that your data integrity is preserved while conveniently importing using the new IIF. If you have used the new IIF import previously, you will be more pleased with the latest release.
