Meet Our Featured QuickBooks Accountant Apps!

One of the key benefits for QuickBooks ProAdvisors®, accountants and others working in QuickBooks® Online Accountant (QBOA) is the ability to do "All Your Work, All in One Place." The goal is to save you and your clients time – and improve everyone’s productivity – through the many features in QBOA.

The new QuickBooks Accountant Apps program offers a selection of accountants’ preferred apps that are fully integrated with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and enable single sign-on for the accountant and client (using QBO credentials), making it easier and more productive for accountants to work with top-rated apps. These apps can be fully provisioned through QBOA on behalf of your clients, so that you can make sure data is flowing to the right place, right from the start.

New! Intuit® is offering accountants preferential pricing on featured apps – 20 percent off or more when you choose “bill to my firm” at check out. These apps then arrive on a single itemized bill each month – which gives you even more reason to implement value pricing – if you haven’t done so already.

Apps Program Benefits

Build end-to-end solutions for your clients: Customize your QBO offering to clients with added functionality brought by featured apps that you can now set up directly from the Apps Tab in QBOA, saving you time and ensuring accuracy.

Preferential pricing on provisioning: Enjoy discounts when adding top apps, trusted by accounting professionals like you, to your clients’ QBO.

One bill each month: Apps billed to your firm arrive on a single itemized bill each month; alternatively, clients can be billed directly without a discount.

Recently, several accountants tested the new accountant apps program TSheets by QuickBooks, Expensify and Method:CRM. Here’s what they had to say:

Lucy Pavalock, Custom Business SolutionsI love that the developers at Intuit are constantly trying to improve the way we use QuickBooks Online Accountant and integrate the Apps ecosystem into our daily lives. The changes are sometimes quite subtle, but we can zoom out and see the broader scope of what they are doing. Adding Apps to our clients’ QuickBooks Online accounts should be as easy as going to the app store on your phone and clicking "install." The other side of that ease is that we have to track how all of those apps get paid for and by whom. The new "Manage discounted app" button can be found conveniently in the Client Apps area in QuickBooks Online, or in "Your Account," where we manage our subscriptions. Both make sense and make it fast and easy for us to find that critical information.

I needed to invoice a client yesterday and wanted to include her TSheets charges for last month. Since I had set her account up through the Apps beta program, I was able to easily find the invoice, identify her charges and quickly download a pdf version of the invoice to attach to her bill. That was easy! Thank you!!!

Dionne Smith, SmithBooks Accounting, Inc.: The Apps Tab is the latest addition in QBOA, giving us a convenient way to find and manage apps for our clients and our own firm – without having to navigate to other sites. The apps tabs has three main functions: find new apps, manage client apps and manage firm apps.

For my apps tab experience, I worked with Expensify to solve a receipt management problem for a client. From the Find Apps tab, I was able to seamlessly connect my customer to Expensify.

Under the Client Apps tab, Expensify appeared instantly and included convenient access to manage the subscription and billing information. An overview of other apps currently connected also displays on the client page. Action items can be performed for each product, such as launching the app, contacting support, disconnecting and submitting a review. Like the Client Apps tab, the Firm Apps tab provides a detailed list of all connected apps and an option to perform action items for each app.

Why is this so powerful? As bookkeepers and accountants who manage many clients, every time we must leave QBOA, we lose valuable time. Standardized app management means we do not depend on knowing our way around third-party websites to perform basic tasks.

When Expensify and other apps offer us great ProAdvisor deals, it’s easy to justify trying new Apps – and helps us offer even more value in our value pricing.

Joe Woodard, Woodard: The QuickBooks Accountant Apps section is easy to use and navigate. I like the way it gives me visibility on which apps that I am using, and which apps my clients are using in one place. I am very impressed and pleased with one of the apps, specifically Method:CRM. At Woodard, we use Method to manage our annual Scaling New Heights conference, including attendees, sponsors, instructors and sessions management.

We also use Method to manage our Woodard Institute coaching, including a customized online learning management system hosted on Method’s platform. Method has given us the flexibility to customize screens to manage many of our workflows with ease. I cannot say enough how much of a pleasure it is working with the Method team. They have always gone above the standard when it comes to supporting their product.
