Timesaving tips for your practice: The power of 3

This is a series of timesaving tips by Firm of the Future authors. More tips are on their way; for now, check out another tip here.

With only 24 hours in a day, it’s very important to make the most of it and eliminate distractions. I have found email to be the biggest distractor and deterrent of getting things accomplished. To battle back, I end each day by writing out the three most important tasks that I want to complete for the next day. Then, when I start my day, I work on those three tasks before opening email. I also turn off email notifications on my computer and phone. I block out specific times on my calendar to log in to check email, three times a day. By utilizing these small tricks, I can get a lot more completed during the day.
