If you've ever wished you had a direct line to the people building Intuit products , you effectively do.
The Intuit Accountant Council is made up of accountants and bookkeepers from firms of all sizes who sit down with Intuit's product and strategy teams several times a year to talk about where the industry is headed. Council members offer direct feedback on the products you use every day to the developers and engineers who create them. Discussions also focus on how Intuit can shape, and respond to, the needs of accounting professionals and their clients so that all customers on the Intuit platform can leverage the latest technologies to drive their businesses forward.
A standing group, not a one-time focus group
The Accountant Council is made up of practicing accounting professionals who advise Intuit on product direction, program design, and where the platform should invest its resources. Council members work directly with the teams behind platform strategy and software, including Intuit Accountant Suite, Intuit Enterprise Suite, QuickBooks, and related software, including QuickBooks Workforce, QuickBooks Bill Pay, and QuickBooks Payments. The Council's input reaches nearly every corner of the Intuit platform a firm touches, not just one product line.
How the Intuit Accountant Council is built
Council members work with many different industries, including nonprofit, healthcare, construction, manufacturing, retail, and technology. Collectively, these firms serve a large number of clients across QuickBooks, services like Workforce (payroll) and payments, and Intuit Enterprise Suite.
Their firm structures range from solo-founder advisory practices to multi-office regional firms. That range is deliberate; features that work for a 150-person client advisory services practice don’t always work for a smaller firm. The Intuit Accountant Council is structured to have multiple perspectives in the room.
In addition, Council input doesn't disappear into a binder. Members point to a genuine shift in how Intuit talks about, and builds for, accountants, moving from a product-first pitch to one built around the firm as the customer.
Inside an Accountant Council session
Council engagements are working sessions, not a single afternoon of simple feedback. I would be more general: The fall 2026 meeting took place over three days, with members engaging with dozens of product leaders to provide feedback across several Intuit products. Intuit’s CEO and other high-level executives were also present, actively listening to feedback. The format is intentional: it gives firms of every size room to get into the details that matter to their client base, from accrual accounting mechanics and money-movement controls, to how AI-generated insights should be explained.
Want a seat at the table?
The Accountant Council is not a closed group. Intuit opens new seats each year, looking for accountants who want to put their day-to-day experience directly in front of the people building the platform. If that sounds like you, keep an eye on Firm of the Future to see when applications open next.
In the meantime, know that the feedback you're already giving Intuit through surveys, support calls, and the ProPartner community are part of the same conversations happening at Accountant Council.
