Arti Patel Martinez, ProAdvisor Training & Certification Leader: On today's episode of In the Know, we'll be exploring how to switch from QuickBooks Online Accountant to Intuit Accountant Suite.
Hey ProAdvisors, it's Arti, and you're watching In the Know, where you get exclusive access to demos of Intuit product enhancements by the leaders who built them.
Let's jump right in with Ashley, who will show us simple steps to switch to Intuit Accountant Suite.
Ashley, welcome.
Ashley Davis: I wanted to demo where to find Intuit Accountant Suite. As of today, you can log into QuickBooks Online Accountant with an in-product discovery notification for you right here. It is orange and it says “important.” It will tell you that QuickBooks Online Accountant is being discontinued on December 31.
You can click here to make the switch. You can also click on “What's new for me.” If you want to discover all the cool things Intuit Accountant Suite has done this last month, you guys can read all about it. You can switch here at the bottom or you can switch here at the top; it’s in the huge area right here. Under the settings dropdown, you do have to be a Primary Admin.
If you are interested in possibly us expanding to have the Company Admin opt you into Intuit Accountant Suite, let us know. We are looking and exploring to expand that. But right now, it's only Primary Admin. The fourth area for you to try out Intuit Accountant Suite is this button right here.
This is also another page that you can look at and it has been updated. So, you can see all the cool product updates and features that we've put into the Intuit Accountant Suite. There is an awesome comparison chart between Core and Accelerate, so you can know what to expect.
Books Close is our add-on feature. That is available for Core and Accelerate. So, I'm going to go ahead and click and get us into it. So, you can see a lot more interesting features within the Intuit Accountant Suite. And the good news is that it looks very similar to QuickBooks Online with the same look and feel.
When you jump into Intuit Accountant Suite, it is not going to be scary looking because it's going to look exactly like QuickBooks Online. Here, I'm going to click Core. I'm going to choose this plan. Just so you know again, Accelerate and Books Close are free until August 1.
If you want to try out and see what plan you want to use, I recommend exploring Accelerate and adding on Books Close. You will have to opt in again once we start charging come August 1. You're not going to get charged unless you opt in, in case you forget. For example, come August 1st, we're not going to charge if you don't opt in. So don't worry and we'll just take you out of Books Close.
Here we are in the Welcome to Intuit Accountant Suite course. We will ask you a few questions. This guide will ask you to confirm your business name, and then ask you two additional questions. Then you'll see the guided tour to show you around. It will show you the My Menu, Accountant tool, and the Work tab.
This is where you'll see the Client Insights and the Tax Prep, if you use ProConnect Tax: the Firm hub. This is where we demoed the User Groups today. Then, your Firm Books. This is your Accounting, your Expenses & Bills, and your Sales & Get Paid. This is what it will be and it is not going to be too scary.
Some peace of mind facts that I have for you: 94% of people who switch over to Intuit Accountant Suite stay, 93% of you said switching was quick, and 91% of you said switching was easy. It is really just a new look and feel. Everything is very similar again to QuickBooks, and we've just added a lot more awesome features.
We have some resources for you here, including the QuickBooks Online Accountant to Intuit Accountant Suite guide. This is an amazing PDF. I highly recommend you download it. We also have a video for you, so please click into it. It's about a 90-second demo. It will get you kind of really excited and pumped of what we have to offer. You can also share this with your team members as well, just to get them excited for what's to come.

We want you to merge them to make your life easier. We will demo this in the next upcoming In the Know webinar, but download this guide.
The last one is the Intuit Accountant Suite homepage. I recommend you explore it, and there's a lot of FAQs in there as well, especially for our new to the franchise firms who are not using QuickBooks Online Accountant. I recommend you guys go through this path. One last thing, for the Multiple Realms, you are going to go into your Settings to “Get started” and click on “Transfer clients.”
This is going to kick you guys off if you have multiple accounts, multiple consoles, and you're going to click on “Get Started.” It is a four-step process and very quick. You can check on your transfer status here to get informed when your consoles were consolidated. So, that is my demo for today!
