ProAdvisor Academy is a whole new approach to professional development that offers career-spanning learning pathways, from entry-level to firm leader, with courses that are contextual and engaging, offering clearer learning outcomes and tangible results.

New learning pathways to launch your career

For those just starting out, we’re introducing the Intuit Bookkeeping Certification: a free, self-paced introduction that teaches foundational accounting principles through the lens of practical workflows and real-world scenarios. We know the original QuickBooks Certification was too much too fast for many bookkeepers and entry-level accountants. This program bridges the gap for those entering the accounting profession from other fields or non-traditional backgrounds, providing a strong foundation for future growth.

Courses within the program include: 

• Bookkeeping basics
• Tracking assets and sales
• Tracking expenses, liabilities, and equity
• Reconciling accounts and examining financial statements

Certifications that do more than just check a box

Our reimagined QuickBooks Certifications offer hands-on learning that contextualizes how to use the platform in service of your accounting workflows.

We’ve renamed the QuickBooks Online certification programs from “Core” and “Advanced” to Level 1 and Level 2 to better signal the learning journey ProAdvisors can take as they grow their careers and firms, and to clear up confusion about the Advanced Certification being focused on the Advanced SKU when its learning goals are broader ranging. 

If you’re new to QuickBooks Online, our Level 1 Certificate will teach you how to deliver end-to-end accounting workflows in QuickBooks, while helping you identify light-touch client advisory moments throughout.

The QuickBooks Online Level 2 Certificate levels up your product knowledge by exploring the more sophisticated features and tools within QuickBooks. You’ll develop expert-level knowledge of the QuickBooks ecosystem, master its more complex features, and identify how to deliver robust accounting and advisory services to your clients. 

These certification programs offer a seamless pathway, from confidently delivering end-to-end accounting workflows, to exploring more sophisticated features and tools within the platform. As complexity increases, so do the opportunities for seasoned accounting professionals to combine accounting acumen with valuable advisory insights, helping to build client trust and set you apart from your peers.

In ProAdvisor Academy, you can continue to access certifications on QuickBooks Online Payroll, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. In addition, we will continue to offer recertification training for those ProAdvisors looking to maintain their certified standing in QuickBooks Online Level 1 and Level 2.
