There are few things more important to a small business than getting paid quickly and efficiently.
U.K.-based Bolt – a finalist in this year’s Small Business App Showdown at QuickBooks Connect – helps accomplish that. Bolt powers online payments for QuickBooks® invoices by connecting QuickBooks to major payment gateways around the world.
“Cash flow is the lifeblood of anyone’s business – it’s what keeps your business ticking along,” says Nick Dunse, Bolt’s chief marketing officer. “If you want to survive and thrive in business, you have to get cash flow right.”
Bolt works with Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, Braintree, WorldPay, Sage Pay and USAePay. Once you’ve connected QuickBooks to your payment gateway via Bolt, customers can pay your invoices using a credit or debit card. Payments can be automatically recorded back into QuickBooks, saving you time and bookkeeping.
“Online payment is becoming increasingly important for settling invoices,” Dunse says. “With Bolt, there are obvious benefits for improving cash flow and bookkeeping efficiencies.”
Bolt records payments back into QuickBooks for easy reconciliation, allows partial payments and provides the ability to save cards for quicker processing in the future. The app enables users to insert a payment link in their invoices or emails, so that there’s no need for another system.
Key features include the following:
- You can use QuickBooks invoices and emails by dropping in the Bolt payment link, without being directed to another messaging system.
- Bolt is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant, the highest standard for card security.
- With Bolt, you can get QuickBooks invoices paid from other platforms, such as Salesforce and Zendesk, regardless of your payment provider.
- Any app developer in the QuickBooks ecosystem can embed the Bolt payment product into their software to enable payments.
“Intuit’s® strong ecosystem is a very exciting thing for us – we are relevant to app developers, accountants and businesses,” says Dunse. “We want to become the trusted standard in the ecosystem and look forward to partnering with other great companies.”
