Insightful Accountant has announced the launch of the Top Advisor Awards for 2027.
For 2027, the Insightful Accountant 2027 Top Advisor Awards will accept applications and Nominations (by third parties) for the Top 100 U.S. ProAdvisors, the Top U.S. Up-n-coming ProAdvisors, the Top U.S. Tax Advisors and the Top International ProAdvisors, beginning at 10:00 PM ET, October 8, 2025.

To be eligible for these awards:
- All applicants, or nominees for the U.S. Awards must be residents of the United States, or its territories.
- All applicants, or nominees for the International Awards must be residents of a country other than the United States, or its territories.
- All applicants must have an active client practice or clients they support using Intuit Accounting or Tax products, regardless of their country of practice.
- All ProAdvisor Award applicants must have a current ProAdvisor Certification (or the equivalent*) issued by their country of practice.
- All Tax Advisor Awards must hold Intuit Tax Academy Certification or hold ProAdvisor Certification with a 'ProAdvisor Academy Tax Training certificate of completion'.

All U.S. Applicants use a single application form, regardless of Award category. A separate application form must be used by all International Applicants, regardless of their country of residence. All applicants will have until March 2, 2027, to begin an application. All Applications must have completed and submitted by not later than 11:59 PM Pacific on March 16, 2027, whether they were nominated by a third party or applied directly.
Nomination forms allow third parties to nominate their favorite Advisors. The nomination period by third parties ends at 11:59 PM Pacific on February 2, 2027. It is not necessary for an Advisor to ‘be nominated, or to nominate themselves,’ they may apply directly, which is the case for nearly 70% of all participating advisors.
Qualified applicants will appear on ballots during the voting period which will begin one-to-two weeks after the close of applications.

About Insightful Accountant’s Top Advisor Awards
Since its inception, Insightful Accountant has been the awarding entity and administrator for the ProAdvisor Awards Program, which recognizes the best QuickBooks ProAdvisors worldwide.
In 2026, the program was renamed the Top Advisor Awards when Insightful Accountant incorporated the Top U.S. Tax Advisors (who are not required to be ProAdvisors) Awards.
Applicants for these prestigious programs are ranked based on their performance across various criteria, measuring everything from QuickBooks knowledge to utilizing the best tools & partner apps within the QuickBooks ecosystem that contribute to solid practice growth. Tax Advisors will be held to similar standards based upon Intuit’s Tax-offering ecosystem.
Intuit, QuickBooks, and the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program have participated as a sponsoring advisor every year since inception of the awards. Insightful Accountant monitors the nomination and application process to determine candidate qualification and equivalency. Equivalency is based on the certifications Intuit reported when the application form was developed. Insightful Accountant consults with Intuit on the current certification standards, and their equivalents, for ProAdvisors, including related nomenclature. Should questions of equivalency arise, Insightful Accountant coordinates with Intuit and QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program officials in resolution of such matters.
