Let's jump right in with Kevin, who will show you our new CAS Foundations Learning Pathway.
Kevin, welcome!
Kevin: Hey, Jaclyn! Thanks for having me back on In the Know. I'm excited to share with you all a little more about the new Client Advisory Services Foundations Pathway that we built into ProAdvisor Academy.
So a little bit about why we built this pathway.
I think traditionally, the training that we have in ProAdvisor Academy has really been focused on the traditional sense of domain training: the bookkeeping domain as well as product training, so all the different certifications that we have around QuickBooks Online level one, Payroll Certifications and so on.
And as we know, the accounting profession is really changing and really moving into the advisory services spaces, which requires us to update our curriculum to not only include what we already have, but expand into the technology space, as well as educating you on how to improve your soft skills.
So that's kind of what we built with this customized learning pathway for CAS—what we're calling CAS Foundations.
This is already available for everyone who has access to QuickBooks Online Accountant or Intuit Accountant Suite. What you see here is the Intuit Accountant Suite, and anyone can access ProAdvisor Academy from the ProAdvisor tab. From here, click ProAdvisor training, and once you click on the learning tab, you'll get directed into the ProAdvisor Academy.
So here you'll see a new updated Programs tab where you'll see the new Client Advisory Service Foundation pathway badge. If we dive deeper into what is encapsulated into this program, we'll have five different offerings. In order to complete the CAS Foundation's badge, you'll need the Intuit Bookkeeping Certification, the QuickBooks Online level one certification, and three new individual courses. One is around technology, specifically with AI for accounting to understand how AI is used in the accounting profession, as well as how Intuit uses AI in our products so that you can better explain those tools and products to your clients.
The fourth one is on the soft skills of communicating to build trust. Here, you will understand how to ask the right questions to get the right information from your clients, and once you have those insights and the strategies to share back to them, you’ll learn how to communicate it back to them to build it into their business.
The last one is a combination of all the different types of training that we just went over into analyzing and interpreting financial parts.
In order to get the CAS Foundations Pathway badge, you’ll go through about 50 hours of course material, but if you already have the Intuit Bookkeeping Certification or the QuickBooks Online certification, you don't have to take those again. You can just continue on with the rest of the material for AI accounting and other parts.
If you don't have the Intuit Bookkeeping Certification, but let's say you've had a number of years in the bookkeeping domain and don't need to go through the course material, you can actually test out, so you don't need to go through all the materials. You can test out and just take an assessment exam. Once you complete that exam, you will receive the Intuit Bookkeeping Certification badge as well.

So that's the new Client Advisory Service Foundation Pathway badge. It's new. Again, it's super exciting to move more into this space. And this really allows the ProAdvisor Academy to now not only just offer product and domain training, but expand into the technology space, as well as soft skills.
