10 things to know from Intuit Connect ON

The role of accountants has never been more important.

As AI accelerates and client expectations continue to rise, businesses need trusted advisors more than ever. At Intuit Connect ON, we shared how we're investing in accountants and helping firms navigate this moment of reinvention.

We're building the future together, turning your feedback into the tools, intelligence, and platform capabilities that help you elevate client relationships, scale your impact, and create more value for the clients you serve.

Here are the top 10 things to know from the event, including a preview of what’s coming in August. You can also watch the full replay and access the latest videos from Intuit Connect ON here.

#1: Intuit is committing to be the partner accountants can count on in the era of AI

In his opening keynote, Sasan Goodarzi, Intuit CEO and chairman of the board, opened the event with three bold decisions:

  • Accountants are at the center of Intuit's platform. Accountants are a major focus of Intuit’s strategy, products, and investments. We recognize the critical role you and your firm play in helping businesses succeed.
  • We are building a shared system of intelligence. Sasan shared our vision for a unified platform designed to help businesses and accountants succeed together. As businesses gain greater clarity and confidence, accountants gain deeper insights and more opportunities to create value, creating a powerful flywheel that strengthens outcomes for both sides of the relationship.
  • Intuit will invest in accountant growth. From Intuit Accountant Suite to Intuit Enterprise Suite to QuickBooks innovation, Intuit is investing billions in bringing together AI, automation, data, and human expertise to help accountants scale their impact, strengthen client relationships, and create more value for the businesses they serve.

#2: Your feedback in action—core workflow improvements

You've told us where friction exists in the workflows you and your clients rely on every day, and we're focused on improving your experience. Enhancements based on your feedback include faster performance, more accurate bank feeds, and enhanced transaction matching.

New features include customizable bank feed displays, account locking, and automated PayPal transaction matching. Additionally, we’ve added purchase order creation from sales orders, and expanded KPI scorecards and dashboards to Essentials and Plus plans to support your advisory work.

Here’s the replay from Arundhati Singh, senior vice president of platform, small business, and accountants. Go here for the full list of product enhancements coming soon.

#3: What's behind the product lineup changes: Hear it straight from our leadership team

From startups to growing businesses, QuickBooks is evolving to meet customers where they are in their journey by bringing AI-powered automation and insights across the platform, delivering a more integrated, all-in-one experience.

Watch the Q&A video below to see how the QuickBooks product lineup is evolving with the addition of new plans for smaller and earlier-stage businesses.

#4: What’s changing with QuickBooks Live?

At Connect ON, we reaffirmed a core principle: When a business chooses an accountant, that accountant remains at the center of the relationship.

That’s why we're evolving how Intuit Experts support businesses across the platform, based on your feedback. First, Intuit will no longer market bookkeeping services to accountant-attached businesses. In addition, we're building a single unified platform for you and your clients to work across to make collaboration even easier.

We’re also evolving the role of Intuit Experts to focus on helping new businesses get onboarded, adopt the platform, and help realize benefits faster. Longer-term, our vision is to co-build a network where we connect new customers to firms, including new businesses starting on the QuickBooks platform and growing businesses that have outgrown Intuit bookkeeping services and are in need of more advisory services.

Watch the Q&A video below between Jessica McCracken, strategy & partnership leader, accountant segment; Ashley Still, executive vice president & general manager of small business and mid-market group; and Travis Walter, chief sales officer.

#5: You're in control

We're building the platform to ensure accountants remain at the center of the client relationship, with greater visibility, control, and choice over how work gets done on behalf of their clients.

For the Intuit Expert offerings in QuickBooks Plus and Advanced, accountants retain full authority over the work performed for their clients on firm-bill subscriptions. We're also introducing AI-driven Auto-Categorization (coming soon to Plus and Advanced) and intelligent onboarding designed to help businesses get started and realize value faster.

For clients connected to an accountant and on firm-billed subscriptions, these services are disabled by default so you can decide when to activate Intuit Expert services. Looking ahead, we're introducing even greater visibility and additional controls so you can monitor and manage Intuit-led activities with confidence.

#6: Intuit ProPartner Accountants is coming in 2027

Launching in early 2027, the new ProPartner program is designed to help firms grow through enhanced revenue opportunities, expanded training and certification programs, access to community, and practice development resources. Replacing the current ProAdvisor Program, ProPartner will introduce a new five-tier system built into Intuit Accountant Suite that scales alongside your firm's growth. The program is designed to support firms of all sizes in building their ideal practice by helping them attract talent through the new Career Pipeline Program, deepen expertise, and create more value for their clients.

See Jaclyn Anku, principal program manager of the ProAdvisor Program, detail the new Intuit ProPartner Accountants program in this Intuit Connect ON session.

#7: Intuit Accountant Suite: Your firm's new home base

The new Intuit Accountant Suite brings your firm, team, and client management together in one place, including a long-awaited beta of multi-tab, cross-portfolio client insights, and firm templates builder to free up your time for higher-value work (Accelerate plan only).

QuickBooks Online Accountant sunsets on December 31, 2026, so now's the time to make the switch. Switching is seamless, and you can choose between the free Core plan, or the Accelerate plan, which provides advanced insights and functionality.

Watch the video below with Karla Uribe, director of product for Intuit Accountant Suite, giving more details on new innovations in Intuit Accountant Suite in this session.

#8. Cross-Client Portfolio Insights in Intuit Accountant Suite Accelerate

Intuit Intelligence is a proactive, insight-driven layer embedded in Intuit Accountant Suite and QuickBooks. In August, it will enable Cross-Client Portfolio Insights, automatically surfacing KPI alerts and flagging financial issues across your practice. You will be able to use conversational chat to query multiple client entities simultaneously for ready-to-use advisory analysis.

For business owners, new Conversational Business Intelligence capabilities allow for real-time financial interaction, including cash flow forecasting and scenario planning. Every AI-driven action is fully logged in an audit trail, ensuring total transparency over who made changes and why.

#9: Custom Skills: Put your most repetitive workflows on autopilot

Every firm has workflows that run the same way every month. In August, Custom Skills will let you and your clients turn recurring workflows into automations that run on a cadence—no manual triggering required.

For example, you can ask Intuit Intelligence to “schedule monthly actuals vs. forecast report” and QuickBooks builds the skill instantly. It's fully customizable, and with one click you can save it straight to your library. Intuit Intelligence comes with a library of ready-made skills that can be used as-is or tailored to match your clients’ rhythms. Every skill, default or custom, is easy to manage from one central place. And, every skill run is logged in a full audit trail so you always know what ran, when, and what changed.
