Intuit® QuickBooks® Accountant Council 2022-2024 applications now open

Intuit® is actively seeking accounting professionals who are tech forward and growth minded to participate in the Intuit QuickBooks® Accountant Council. Interested applicants should be excited to roll up their sleeves, and provide insights and feedback on future product development across the QuickBooks platform. Intuit was founded on the principle of listening to our customers. As one of the many ways we interact with customers about their needs, the Accountant Council helps us have an open collaboration with accountants, bookkeepers, consultants, and advisors who are strategic thinkers, effective technology users, and innovative process implementers.

The objectives of Council are to:

  • Collaborate on future strategy, product development, programs, and services for Intuit’s small business, self-employed, accountant, and bookkeeper customers and partners.
  • Create a forum where Intuit proactively and intently listens to the voice of accounting professionals to better understand their point of view—and the point of view of their customers—on the issues and trends impacting small businesses and the future of the accounting profession.

We’re looking for accountants, bookkeepers, QuickBooks consultants, and trusted advisors who use and/or recommend Intuit products and services, and represent a wide range of geographic locations across the United States. Firms of all sizes, and various types of businesses (accounting, consulting, installation and setup, for example), professional designations, verticals, and depth of product knowledge, are welcome to apply. Applicants believe in the promise of cloud technology and a firm’s transition into value pricing and advisory.  Members must be in public practice. Council members may not participate on any competitor advisory board or be employed by Intuit.

Why apply?

As a Council member, under a non-disclosure agreement, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with Intuit’s senior-level executives, product managers, and marketers about future strategy and upcoming product/service offerings. You will also have the opportunity to network and learn best practices from your Council member colleagues from across the country. New Council members will join a class of eight peers that have just completed the first of their two-year term.

Traditionally, the Accountant Council meets at an Intuit location two times annually (summer and winter), monthly as an embedded team member with product managers, up to another two to four times a year virtually (conference phone and/or web cast).  With a bias for safety during COVID-19, we may elect to replace in-person meeting(s) as needed with more virtual gatherings.

Intuit pays Council members an honorarium of $1,000 per full meeting day, or $150/hour for one-off or embedded team meetings, in addition Intuit covers the cost of travel for in-person meetings. Council meetings generally occur over the course of two to three days.

The application is a three-step process (initial application, a second questionnaire for a deeper dive about you and your practice and finally, an interview.
