QuickBooks Online Advanced – February Update
We’re continuing to improve QuickBooks® Online Advanced and have two exciting new updates to tell you about.
QuickBooks ProAdvisors® can now earn points for active QuickBooks Online Advanced subscriptions. A QuickBooks Online Advanced client will add 75 points to your firm’s point balance. If any of your clients upgrade from QuickBooks Online Plus to Advanced, then you’ll earn 75 points for that QuickBooks Online Advanced subscription.
Our ProAdvisor Program is built to recognize the work you do, and give you more opportunities to move up tiers and unlock new benefits. We’ve added QuickBooks Online Advanced to the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program point earning opportunities to recognize more of the work you’re doing.
Wholesale billing has long been valued by QuickBooks’ accounting professionals because of the ability to create a single, unified bill with access to an exclusive discount. Now, we’re pleased to share there’s wholesale billing for QuickBooks Online Advanced.
QuickBooks Online Advanced wholesale billing comes with an exclusive discount of 30 percent off the current list price for the life of the subscription1 (limited time offer). Today, that’s $105/month instead of $150/month.
Why is the QuickBooks Online Advanced wholesale billing discount different than those of other QuickBooks Online products?
QuickBooks Online Advanced is built for growing and complex small- to medium-sized businesses, and we’re continuing to invest in the product to serve them. This also means QuickBooks Online Advanced has different discounts than other QuickBooks Online products.
Why is the QuickBooks Online Advanced wholesale billing discount offered for a limited time?
Don’t worry, there will be a continuous wholesale billing discount available for you and your clients after May 31, 2019. Wholesale billing will remain for QuickBooks Online Advanced while the discount may change over time. The discount available now will only be available until May 31, 2019, and accountants have the opportunity to get their most eager and ready clients on QuickBooks Online Advanced early.
Creating, editing and sending large amounts of invoices with QuickBooks Online has been a time-consuming process. Now with Accelerated invoicing, exclusively with QuickBooks Online Advanced, you can streamline your invoice process.
Combining our new feature Multiple invoicing with Import invoicing, QuickBooks Online Advanced is accelerating the creation, edit and sending of multiple invoices.
Multiple invoicing. Our new feature streamlines the creation, editing and sending of large amounts of multiple invoices to just a few clicks.
Pro Tip: To expedite creating multiple invoices, check out our knowledge base article and using duplicating invoices for multiple customers. This trick will help dramatically streamline the creation of multiple invoices.
Importing invoicing. As previously mentioned, now with Import invoicing you can upload and process hundreds of invoices in a few clicks.

These Updates Build on the Momentum of QuickBooks Online Advanced

Up to 25 Users:
- Add up to 25 users with full and simultaneous access
- How it works: Each QuickBooks Online Advanced subscription includes 25 user seats and two additional, separate accountant user seats.
Smart reporting powered by Fathom:
- Track business performance at a glance with smart, customizable, visual reporting on select data and KPIs.2
- How it works: Each active QuickBooks Online Advanced subscription includes one license of Fathom. To activate Smart Reporting, go to the reports tab > click on the new smart reporting message > click ‘Activate’ > agree to connect to Fathom > go through the setup process.
- Import hundreds of invoices into QuickBooks at once3
- How it works: Access settings > Click ‘Import Data’ > Click ‘Invoices’ > Follow the three-step process to import.
Custom User Permissions
- Configure user permissions dozens of different ways to manage access to sensitive data
- How it works: Manage user access to one or more of these specific areas in QuickBooks:
