Two Powerhouses Unite: QuickBooks Integrates with G Suite by Google Cloud

Last month in New York City, Intuit® presented a series of 26 demos and experiments designed to enrich the lives of its 42 million customers at our Innovation Gallery Walk, dubbed “The Intelligent Economy.” Building upon Intuit’s powerful ecosystem, we announced a partnership with Google to deliver a seamless integration between QuickBooks® Online and G Suite that’s designed to help accounting professionals and small businesses prosper.

Streamlined Invoicing

QuickBooks Online and G Suite by Google Cloud are two of the most popular tools for accounting professionals: Intuit found that 56 percent of QuickBooks Online customers use Google Calendar to book and manage appointments, while half of our users also use Gmail to communicate with their customers. When it’s time to bill the client, however, accounting professionals end up manually transferring data from G Suite to QuickBooks Online, spending hours every day on the tedious process of invoicing and billing their clients. Not only is this inefficient and time consuming, but it also increases the risk of human error associated with manual entry.

To solve for this, Intuit launched Pay My Bills with G Suite, an integration with Google Calendar, and introduced a Gmail invoicing add-on widget for QuickBooks Online users. Accountants no longer need to switch between the two platforms and can conveniently create invoices directly from Google calendar or Gmail by clicking the QuickBooks icon. Users can also view the status of all other invoices from within G Suite.

Simple to navigate and easy to use, we have created a seamless data flow that simplifies how accountants are invoicing and billing their clients. This integration enables them to become more efficient in running their business, ensures greater confidence in their data and helps them save time so that they can focus on being strategic advisors to their clients.

This is Just the Beginning

Intuit is committed to fueling the success of accounting professionals through the power of the QuickBooks ecosystem and its platform partners. The integrations with Gmail and Google Calendar are the first of many between our two companies, and we are continuing to collaborate with industry partners to create smarter solutions that provide value for accounting firms and streamline how they use technology to achieve financial prosperity.
